Advertising on Facebook is one of the forms of running paid advertising campaigns in Social Media. Thanks to detailed targeting, it allows for precise reach to the brand’s marketing persona and thus increases the effectiveness of online advertising by directing the marketing message to the target group that is interested in it. Thanks to this, Facebook advertising is one of the cheapest forms of internet advertising available today.

Facebook’s advertising system is based on auctions. This means that the advertiser who offers the highest bid reaches the configured target groups first. To avoid competition in auctions and achieve results at a low cost, precise configuration of the target group tailored to the product or service is therefore crucial.

At Moonwise, we recommend a minimum advertising budget of 5,000 PLN per month. We determine the final amount of monthly expenses each time in agreement with the client, based on data analysis and jointly set advertising goals. However, a lower advertising budget makes it difficult to quickly draw conclusions from past campaigns and delays the expected return on investment.

Setting up advertising in the Meta ecosystem (therefore on Facebook, Instagram, and other Meta applications) begins with analyzing the historical data of the client’s advertising account. Then we design the marketing funnel and prepare ad creations to address the recipient’s problem at various stages of their readiness for the final conversion. Later, we configure the campaign and take care of its optimization, thanks to which the costs of results will decrease and the results will grow.

The Meta Pixel (formerly Facebook Pixel) is a piece of JavaScript code that allows tracking user behavior on a website. At the beginning of each collaboration, we send the client the appropriately prepared code containing the Pixel Identification Number along with events and their parameters. Thanks to this, we can later analyze the effectiveness of the conducted advertising campaigns. This way, we count not only «empty clicks» but what the user did on the client’s site after clicking the ad (e.g., whether they added a product to the cart or filled out a form).

We determine the effectiveness of a Facebook advertising campaign through the lens of achieved goals and positive return on investment in advertising campaigns (Return On Ad Spend). If ROAS exceeds 1 (100%), it means that Facebook advertising works and the campaign is profitable.

A Facebook Shop is not necessary to start advertising activities. However, creating a Commerce Account and product catalog will allow you to take advantage of additional Meta advertising system features such as Dynamic Product Ads.
